Voting Dropbox Location Change.

To be in compliance with the new Georgia State Election Board Rule 183-1-14.02 Advance Voting (18)(19), the ballot drop box at the South Cherokee Annex, 7545  Main Street, Suite 200, Woodstock, GA 30188, will be moved to the Cherokee County Elections & Voter Registration Office located at 193 Lamar Haley Parkway in Canton, GA 30114.  The new rule requires video surveillance and retention of videos for two years. Those capabilities do not exist at the South Annex currently and cannot be accomplished prior to early voting beginning on October 15. This change is out of control of local elections officials.

Consider request for a resolution to reduce the insurance coverage amount required by the owner of a classified dangerous dog from $1,000,000.00, as currently stated in Section 10-74(b)(4) of the Dangerous Dog Ordinance, to the amount of $500,000.00.

Consider request from CATS for approval of FY2025 Department of Human Services (DHS) contract and ratification of the Chairman's signature.

CATS FY2026 GDOT Funding Application.

Consider request from CATS for approval of FY 2025 (July 2025 thru June 2026) application to GDOT for funding in the amount of $526,000.00 for operating assistance associated with the CATS 5311 Rural Transportation Program. Cherokee County's obligation is $263,000.00 for operations.

Consider request from Sheriff's Office to purchase a 2024 Ford Explorer from Wade Ford in the amount of $41,000.00.

Audio-Visual System for L.B. "Buzz" Ahrens Recreation Center.

Consider request from Recreation and Parks for approval to award a Small Construction and Trades Agreement to Applied Global Technologies, LLC in the amount of $52,731.66, for hardware, wiring and maintenance of an Audio-Visual System at the L.B. "Buzz" Ahrens Recreation Center.

Extrication Equipment Purchase for Fire & Emergency Services.

Consider request from Fire & Emergency Services for approval to purchase one demo set of Holmatro battery-powered extrication tools in the amount of $32,000.00.

Inmate Medical Budget Protector Insurance.

Consider request from Risk Management for renewal of Inmate Medical Budget Protector Insurance with Correctional Risk Services for the FY2025 annual policy, in the amount of $174,516.00.  This is a 10% increase in premium from the FY2024 policy year.

Workers' Compensation Excess Insurance.

Consider request from Risk Management for approval for purchase of Workers' Compensation Excess Insurance with Midwest Employers Casualty Company in the amount of $264,992.00.  This is a 26% decrease in premium from last year.

Annual Liability Insurance Renewal.

Consider request from Risk Management for approval of a proposal from Travelers Insurance for renewal of property and casualty insurance coverage for FY2025 in the total amount of $2,426,154.00.

Buice Avenue at Bells Ferry Road Improvement Project - Construction.

Consider request to award a Standard Construction Agreement to Bartow Paving Company, Inc., the low bidder, for construction of the Buice Avenue at Bells Ferry Road Improvement Project, in the amount of $383,690.00.

Limited Release for Ball Ground Roundabout Project.

Consider request to approve a Limited Release Agreement with Cherokee Growth, LLC. in conjunction with the right-of-way acquisition for Parcel 2 & 3 for the Ball Ground Roundabout Project.

Consider request to approve a condemnation resolution authorizing the County to proceed with the condemnation process for Parcel 94 of the Bells Ferry Road Widening project.

Consider request by the Court Administrator to adopt a resolution accepting the Grand Jury recommendation for bailiff compensation in the amount of $125.00 per day beginning with FY2025.

Georgia Medicaid Fee-for-Service Program Reimbursement for Fire & Emergency Services.

Consider request from Fire & Emergency Services to accept an interim supplement payment from the Georgia Department of Community Health for the Ground Ambulance Upper Payment Limit Supplemental Program for calendar year 2023 in the amount of $157,272.00 with a corresponding Budget Amendment and approval to transfer $53,410.00 of the non-federal funds portion of the payment to the State of Georgia as required by the program.

Amendment One to Contract for Inmate Medical Services.

Consider request from Sheriff's Office for approval of Amendment One to contract with First Class Healthcare Cherokee LLC, for the provision of inmate medical services, in the amount of $298,000.00.
